Maxcoat 5043 PFAS Free OGR

General

Maxcoat 5043 is highly efficient oil, grease and water resistant additive for the treatment of paper and board for food packaging. It has been optimized for the application in the wet-end section of the paper machine, and for the manufacture of molded pulp packaging. It is based on Anionic copolymer emulsion, which does not contain PFAS.

Wet-end Application

It is recommended to add Maxcoat-5043 in the thick stock, after the refiners, at a level between 6 -10 % based on dry pulp, depending on the required level of oil & grease and water resistance. As a cationic polymer, Maxcoat-5043 has a strong affinity with the fibres.

As Maxcoat -5043 might generate foam under shear conditions, the use of a defoamer may therefore be necessary.

SAFETY AND HANDLING

• Hand Protection – Neoprene gloves, Nitrile gloves, Butyl gloves, PVC gloves.
• Skin Protection – Wear standard protective clothing.
• Eye protection –  Wear chemical splash goggles.
